As a rough guide, a 1.55Mb clip
downloads in 40 seconds on a T1 line and 5 minutes on ISDN.
This site is
best viewed using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher with a screen resolution of
1024 x 768, at this this time using anything else makes it looks complete 'pants'.

Rooting around in the UGLY video vaults the
other day I found this little gem lurking around looking forgotten.
It's the Damned playing (or rather miming)
to Love Song on Top of the Pops, from I guess around 1980 and for me it's the Damned in
one of my favorite line ups of Captain, Vanian, Rat & Algy and they put in one hell of
a performance!
We're starting to move away from Quicktime
and put the clip is in .mpg format so Windows media player will play it as the majority of
our viewers (according to extensive market research...) seem to access UGLY with Windows.
I didn't want to make the picture too small or edit the performance so the file is rather
large!
